One of our good friends here (that's her next to Shanee in the left picture) invited us to her niece's wedding. Turns out we were the guests of honor. We passed on the millet beer (but not the deep-fried prawn chips!) and had a pretty good time. Our friend dressed Shanee in the traditional sari (along with the "traditional" gob of lipstick). Shanee completed the outfit with the not-so-traditional "Under Armor" cold weather gear (we were in the mountains). The "wedding" was basically a reception--guests came to give their blessings and gifts to the couple and then stayed for the food and millet beer.
