The other day Shanee had the opportunity to teach at another Women's Conference. The theme of the conference was the role of women in the home and in the Ch*rch. She did a spectacular job, as always, of teaching. The women really got a kick out of the little white chick who speaks Nepali. She acutually taught in Nepali and it was translated into Hindi. Hindi is pervasive in our neck of Nepal because we're so close to India.

Temperatures have been warming up here, and when Shanee was done teaching I witnessed a truly unique event in the history of the universe. As you can see here, my usually perspirationally-challenged wife is totally drenched with sweat. The color change on her shirt from dark purple to light purple is not the newest fashion here in Nepal, nor is it a trick of the camera. That is sweat, people.

The only reason the bottom part of her shirt is not soaked is because at that point her pants became the principal absorbent. Also, when she was done teaching there was a pool of sweat that had collected around her feet. Like I said--truly unique occurence. When she was done, the gracious Nepalis offered her a refreshing cup of steaming milk tea. While we appreciated the thought, she decided to pass. Oh well, I guess cold water will have to do.

oh wow! Great post ;) Awesome! I love the sweat pics!
Wow, Shanee, you're turning a new leaf. What a great new skill you've acquired! Did you smell like vinegar, or is that a trait that's special only to Jesse? Make sure to drink plenty of H2O to stay well hydrated!
