We started Joya on "food" recently (ground up brown rice mixed with milk). Here she is in her big-girl seat ready for the feeding.
Very appropriately for South Asian culture, Joya's Aunt Kristin was present at the first feeding to help. Normally, the entire family partakes in the baby's first rice feeding.

i loooove it! I wish we could've been there! Sammy loves his cereal...but that might be b/c it is cerelac...it's pretty tasty
