These are a couple pics from Jesse and Nathan's trip into the mountains last week. What was supposed to be a 2-day walk turned into a 4-day walk, due to road closings, mudslides, and political demonstrations. The guys were flexible and kept a great attitude. By the time they made it to their village on Wednesday, they had gone by car, rickshaw, bus, foot, and even hitched a ride in a truck like the one above. The top picture shows a road, or actually what used to be a road, that fell down the side of the mountain. Their 3-day training went well, and they enjoyed lots of rice, lentils, and goat meat (Kari and I were so upset we missed out on that!).

Jess, What an adventure! I want more details about your trip and more pictures. And to think that your dad wouldn't let you have a motorcyle when you were at home ha!
