Yaks--the Mack truck of the Himalayas. We met caravans of yaks all up and down the trail. These little hosses are the lifeline of the people who live up here. Without them and the porters who carry almost as much on their backs, life would be impossible in this place.
It got colder every day on our way up. And Shanee, Kari, and Kristin got sillier every day.
